HCC Fuels the Local Economy.

Moving into our sixth decade, HCC plays an essential role in the success of our community. We build an educated, diverse and upwardly mobile workforce essential to attracting and retaining business here in the Tampa Bay area. We collaborate with industry leaders and community partners, developing curricula and programs that directly serve labor market needs.

One of the examples of filling the need comes with our new Allied Health building, which broke ground in September 2017. This over-60,000 square foot learning space will house primary care and diagnostic allied health programs on our Dale Mabry campus, providing space for instruction and hands-on learning using the latest technological advances employed in the health care fields. And not only will our graduates from Allied Health programs be the finest caregivers in our community, they will contribute significant financial resources to our economy during their careers. More than 85% of our graduates stay in the Tampa Bay area, and since 2000, those graduates have earned nearly $1.4 billion.
