CyberPEERs provides up to two years of scholarships for students enrolled in Information Security AS degrees at Hillsborough Community College. It is open to all US residents who are eligible for Pell assistance and enrolled in one of the following degree programs:
- Cybersecurity
- Cybersecurity Operations
- Digital Forensics
- Enterprise Network and Cloud Computing
- Network Security
Scholarship recipients will have all unmet costs to attend covered up to $10,000 a year for up to two years.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Applicants must be a US citizen and have completed the FASFA application.
- Applications need to have been accepted to the college and have a valid HCC email address.
- Students are enrolled in one of the aforementioned degree programs.
- Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply.
If awarded a CyberPEERs scholarship, you are required to complete the following each term to remain eligible:
- Must remain in qualifying A.S degree program
- Maintain an HCC GPA of 3.0
- Participate in two training sessions per/semester
- Participate in weekly mentorship meetings
- Attend grant-selected conferences or join the HCC cybersecurity club, the CyberHawks
- Participate in Canvas activities as assigned.
Finally, participants will be required to reapply each year. Part of the reapplication process will be a verification of successful completion of the mandatory activities outlined above.
